Hi, welcome to my blog. I’m Josh, a high school Spanish teacher in Dallas, Texas. I’m in my 11th year of teaching secondary Spanish. I have also taught ESL students and grades K-12. I enjoy combining my skills as a Spanish teacher and graphic designer to create fun and engaging activities for my Spanish classes.
I grew up in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas, near the boarder of Mexico. This is where I began to learn the Spanish language and gain a deep appreciation for the Spanish-speaking culture. After earning a bachelors degree in 2007, I spent two trimesters living and studying abroad in San Jose, Costa Rica. While studying Spanish is Costa Rica, I soon realized that I wanted to become a Spanish teacher. I began teaching elementary and secondary Spanish in the fall of 2008.
I’m happily married to my wonderful wife and have two beautiful daughters. As a family we enjoy traveling, gardening, and eating at Chick-fil-A. When I’m not teaching Spanish, I enjoy creating Spanish resources for my TpT shop.
